This beautifully handmade map of Africa is entirely put together from up-cycled engine parts. Locally sourced from scrap yards on the mainland, each cog is picked individually, cleaned up by hand and finally added to the design by our artisans.

Our residential map measures 1 meter height x 75cm wide and weights about 30kg.

Please note that each of these maps is made on order and the design will vary from piece to piece. If you are interested in purchasing one of these maps, we will forward photo's of maps in stock, or sent you updates on the production process as we make it. Either way, we will sent you photo's of the final piece before shipping out to ensure you are 100% happy with the final design.

At Katundu we use as many local, natural and recycled material as possible. This includes baobab/ maize string, scrap metal, glass bottles, grey seeds, clay mud beads, copper geezers, recycled boat wood, and more.
